Osho Zen Tarot - The transcendental game of Zen
is a non-typical, non-traditional deck. Osho Zen Tarot is based on the teachings of an Indian Teacher – Osho. The artwork of the cards was created by Ma Deva Padma in 1975, who was one of Osho’s disciple.
The Osho Zen Tarot is an excellent tool for self exploration. It is an incredibly one of the most beautiful deck. This deck comes from a Zen perspective and is based on the wisdom of Zen which says that events in the outer world are reflection of our own thoughts and feelings, even if we are unclear about these thoughts and events. If we can just take a look and see things as they are, that very seeing can transform them.
Osho zen
The Osho Zen Tarot is a deck with 79 cards and is divided into the standard Major and Minor Arcanas. There are many changes that suit the Zen theme.
There are 22 Major Arcana Cards and one extra Master card which portrays an image of Osho himself. These 22 cards are numbered with Roman numerals 0 to XXI. Master card holds no number which focuses on mastering
oneself.
There are 56 Cards in Minor Arcana and are divided into four suits which represent 4 elements i.e. fire, clouds, water, and rainbows. Here they represent the number of steps taken by the infant Siddhartha – later to become Gautama the Buddha.
